New Renderings Revealed for Casa 54 at 54 Jones Street in Journal Square, Jersey City

New renderings have been revealed for Casa 54, a 30-story residential tower planned for 54 Jones Street in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by Emara Ghobrial Architects and developed by Kabir Manchanda of the Manchanda Group, the 311-foot-tall structure will yield 190 rental apartments in studio- to three-bedroom layouts, including a penthouse unit. The project will also include two full floors of amenities and 780 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is situated on an L-shaped parcel bounded by Sip Street to the north and Jones Street to the west.

New Renderings Preview Six-Tower, 2,088-Unit Complex at 180 Baldwin Avenue in Journal Square, Jersey City

New renderings have been revealed for 180 Baldwin Avenue, a six-tower residential complex in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by MHS Architecture and engineered by Dresdner Robin, the 27-story towers are planned to rise 293 feet tall and yield a total of 2,088 rental apartments. The development will also include just under 1,100 square feet of retail space and enclosed parking for 658 vehicles. The property will occupy roughly two-thirds of the block bounded by High Street to the north, Rock Street to the south, and Baldwin Avenue to the west.

Governor Murphy Breaks Ground on New Jersey’s Rail-to-Trail Greenway Project

Governor Phil Murphy joined state, county, and local officials in Newark to break ground on the Greenway project, a 9-mile former rail line that will be converted into New Jersey’s newest state park. The 100-foot-wide Greenway will stretch from Jersey City to Montclair, spanning Essex and Hudson Counties. The first phase of construction, centered on the Newark Central Activity Center between Summer Avenue and Broadway, represents the largest single investment in state history for a new state park, totaling $69.2 million. The project is being led by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) with construction overseen by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) and managed by AECOM Tishman. It is expected to open by the end of 2026.

Phase Two of Bayfront Residential Complex Receives Funding In Jersey City, New Jersey

New Jersey Community Capital (NJCC) has committed $8.6 million in preferred equity to support Cove Pointe, the second phase of development for the Bayfront Redevelopment Project in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by BRP Companies in partnership with the City of Jersey City and Bayfront Development Partners, Cove Pointe includes four residential buildings totaling between 1,400 and 1,600 units, alongside retail spaces and parkland. The property is located along the Hackensack River to the west of Route 440.

New renderings have been revealed for West Side Square, a multi-building master plan under construction in the Marion district of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by MHS Architecture and developed by Lanterra Developments, Westdale Properties, Lantree Developments, and Altree Developments, the project will yield 834 apartments across the two structures. The 800,000-square-foot property is bounded by Fayette Place to the north, Broadway to the south, Corbin Avenue to the east, and Giles Avenue to the west.

Tishman Speyer Acquires 50 and 55 Hudson Street for Two-Tower Project in Jersey City

Tishman Speyer has completed the acquisition of land for a new mixed-use development at 50 Hudson Street and 55 Hudson Street in Jersey City. The project, which has been designed in collaboration between Handel Architects, Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects, and landscape architect Melillo Bauer Carman, is situated on the Hudson River waterfront and plans to yield approximately 2,000 apartments.

Atlas Nears Completion At 270 Johnston Avenue In Jersey City

Construction is nearing completion on Atlas, a 24-story residential building at 270 Johnston Avenue in Jersey City’s Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood. Designed by MHS Architecture and developed by Alpine Residential and Fields Grade, the structure will yield 169 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts with interiors by GRT Architecture. Many of the homes will feature private balconies with views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

The LeFrak Organization has unveiled plans for 110 Town Square Place, a 40-story mixed-use tower in Jersey City, a 40-story mixed-use complex. Designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, the structure will yield 423 residential units, 45,000 square feet of office space, 3,450 square feet of retail space, and 218 bicycle parking spaces.

Interior Renderings Revealed for Overlook Flats at 32 Oakland Avenue in Jersey City

New Jersey developer Milton Fantin has revealed new interior renderings for Overlook Flats, a new mixed-use property in Jersey City. Located at 32 Oakland Avenue, the building is designed by Michels & Waldron Associates and comprises more than 58,000 square feet of office space, 297 rental units, tenant amenity spaces, and an 181-vehicle fully automated parking garage.

Developers Break Ground at 499 Summit Avenue in Jersey City

Construction has commenced at 499 Summit Avenue, the site of a 53-story residential skyscraper in the Journal Square section of Jersey City. Led by Panepinto Properties and AJD Construction and designed by HLW International, the tower will contain 605 rental apartments, 3,200 square feet of retail space on the lower floors, and a parking garage. While the full amenity package has not been announced, renderings of the building reveal a roof deck above the podium level with a large communal terrace, outdoor lounge space, and planters. The development will also create a new public plaza.
