Skyscraper Redesign Revealed for Imperial Tower at 2966 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City, New Jersey

An expanded redesign been revealed for Imperial Tower, a 56-story mixed-use skyscraper at 2966 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in the Journal Square district of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by MVMK Architecture and developed by Kuldeep “Sunny” Kumar, the 637-foot-tall structure has been significantly expanded from its original scope of 35 stories, and will yield a larger residential component consisting of 542 units, of which 54 will be designated for affordable housing. The remainder of the development’s programming appears largely untouched, including its planned 154-room hotel. The project will also include retail space, a banquet hall and three restaurants, and an enclosed parking garage with a capacity of 202 vehicles and 295 bicycles. The property spans half an acre at the corner of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Cottage Street.

Scholars Village Tops Out At 225 Phillip Street In Jersey City, New Jersey

Construction has topped out on Scholars Village, a pair of 12-story buildings at 225 Phillip Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. Developed by Alpine Residential and designed in collaboration between GRT Architects and Ismael Leyva Architects, the structures yield 500 rental units, as well as approximately 4,000 square feet of retail space.

Two-Tower Residential Complex Announced for 290 Coles Street In Jersey City, New Jersey

BXP, in partnership with Albanese Organization and CrossHarbor Capital, has announced plans for a new residential development at 290 Coles Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. The $400 million project will yield 670 units, and will feature an eight-story podium with two towers at 14 and 22 stories. The complex is being built on a currently vacant 1.75-acre site between 16th and 17th Streets.

Arts & Powerhouse Building Completes Renovation at 130 Bay Street In Jersey City

Kushner and KABR Group have launched commercial leasing for the Arts & Powerhouse Building, a six-story structure at 130 Bay Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. Originally constructed in 1913 as the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Warehouse, the building recently underwent a $30 million renovation and is now being branded as the A&P Building.

Rendering Revealed For Park Tower At 629 Newark Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey

A new rendering has been revealed for Park Tower, a proposed 47-story residential building at 629 Newark Avenue in the Journal Square section of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Namdar Group, the structure can potentially be built as of right, yielding 1,151 rental units, 5,000 square feet of retail space, and 26,000 square feet of office space. The project site is bound by the corner of Newark and Central Avenues to the east and Lott Street to the west, and is currently home to a small surface-level parking lot flanked by several two- and three-story structures.

Renderings Reveal $500M Holland Gardens Complex in Downtown Jersey City

Jersey City officials have revealed plans to redevelop an aging public housing property into a mixed-use, mixed-income complex in the city’s downtown area. Known as The Holland Gardens Revitalization Plan, the project team includes the Jersey City Housing Authority (JCHA), PS&S Architects, and WinnDevelopment, a Boston-based subsidiary of real estate investment firm Winn Companies.

Designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects and GRT Architecture and developed by Alpine Residential and Fields Grade, the structure will yield 169 rental units, a collection of amenity spaces, a small parking lot, and roughly 9,000 square feet of retail spread across the ground and second floors.
