Construction Awaits For 1,517-Unit Skyscraper at 547-555 Summit Avenue In Journal Square, Jersey City

Construction is set to soon begin on the first phase of 547-555 Summit Avenue, a pair of conjoined 47-story residential skyscrapers approved for Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by the Namdar Group, the 513-foot-tall structure will yield 1,542 units, with 153 designated for affordable housing. The project will also include 5,136 square feet of ground-floor retail space split into five storefronts, 41 hotel rooms, and 874 bike parking spaces. The property spans a full block between Van Reipen Avenue and Pavonia Avenue and Better Blocks first reported on the story in April.

Construction awaits on the redevelopment of the Holland Gardens public housing project into a new 24-story mixed-use complex at 235 16th Street in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by PS&S Architects and developed by WinnDevelopment, the 3.3-acre complex will yield 753 rental units, including senior housing, along with 24,000 square feet of commercial space and a community facility. The project will also include a new branch of the Jersey City Free Public Library and Jersey City Housing Authority (JCHA), 385 parking spaces, and 380 bicycle parking spots. The property is bounded by 14th and 16th Streets, Erie Street, and Jersey Avenue.

Construction Loan Secured For 748-Unit Skyscraper at 201 Hudson Street In Jersey City, New Jersey

Developers have secured a $277 million construction loan for 201 Hudson Street, a 69-story residential tower in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Concrete Amsterdam with HLW International as the architect of record and developed by a joint venture between Urby and Rockpoint, the 677-foot-tall structure will span approximately 528,000 square feet and yield 748 rental units. The project will also include roughly 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, structured parking, and a suite of lifestyle amenities.

Completed Amenities Revealed For The Greyson At 25 Cottage Street In Jersey City

New images have been revealed for the completed amenity spaces at The Greyson, a 29-story residential tower at 25 Cottage Street in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Nasser Freres, the structure yields 622 rental units in studio- to three-bedroom layouts. The project also includes 44,551 square feet of office space and 3,823 square feet of ground-floor retail along the Homestead Place pedestrian plaza.

New renderings have been revealed for 87 Van Horne Street, a six-story residential building in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by MHS Architecture and developed by Wallabout Realty, 81-foot-tall structure will yield 170 rental units, including 18 moderate-income affordable units. The project will also feature a 109-vehicle parking garage and a bike storage room with 85 spots. The property is situated within the Morris Canal Redevelopment Plan bounded by Van Horne Street to the southeast, active light rail tracks to the southwest, Woodward Street and Berry Lane Park to the northwest, and two rows of low-rise homes to the northeast.
