New renderings have been revealed for 20 Carbon Place, a 12-story residential building on the border of the Greenville and Bergen-Lafayette neighborhoods on the western side of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by L+Z Architecture DPC and developed by Twenty Carbon Place Corp., the 138-foot-tall structure will yield 547 market-rate rental units, 276 enclosed parking spaces, 292 bicycle parking spaces, 950 square feet of ground-floor retail space, 14,000 square feet of amenities, and an 8,516-square-foot public plaza. The 76,717-square-foot property is located by the intersection of Carbon Place and West Side Avenue.

New renderings have been revealed for 3085 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, a two-building residential development in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Hoboken-based MVMK Architecture and developed by Journal Square Estates LLC, the 12-story, 156-foot-tall complex is part of the Journal Square 2060 Redevelopment Plan and will yield 373 apartments in studio- to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 72 enclosed parking spaces, storage for 97 bicycles, and 1,356 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The 29,000-square-foot through-lot property is bound by the Pulaski Skyway to the north, John F. Kennedy Boulevard to the east, and Skillman Avenue to the west.

Atlas, a 24-story rental building at 270 Johnston Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey, officially opened with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on September 12. Designed by MHS Architecture and developed by Alpine Residential and Fields Grade, the structure will yield 169 units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with many offering private outdoor space. The property is located between Maple/Garabrant Street and Communipaw Avenue, in close proximity to Liberty State Park.

Updated Renderings Revealed for Harborside 8 and 9 in Jersey City, New Jersey

A new batch of renderings has been revealed for Harborside 8 and Harborside 9, a two-skyscraper mixed-use development along the Hudson River waterfront in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Veris Residential, formerly known as Mack-Cali Realty Corp., the project consists of the 68-story, 680-unit Harborside 8 and the 57-story, 579-unit Harborside 9. The latter gained approval from the Jersey City Planning Board last week and will stand 607 feet tall and rise from an eight-story podium. The property is currently occupied by a 169,000-square-foot open-air parking lot bound by 2nd Street to the north, Harborside Place to the south, Hudson Street to the west, and the 18-story 3 Second Street at Harborside office tower immediately to the east.
