HCCC Center for Student Success Progresses at 14 Enos Place in Journal Square, Jersey City

Exterior work is progressing on the HCCC Center for Student Success, an 11-story educational facility for the Hudson County Community College (HCCC) at 14 Enos Place in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by NK Architects, the 180-foot-tall structure will span 153,186 square feet and yield 24 classrooms and expanded student services and common spaces. The $96.3 million project will also include a full-size NCAA gymnasium, a fitness center, black-box theater, health sciences laboratories, 85 offices for the Continuing Education and Workforce Development, eight conference rooms, and an instruction center for sister colleges and partners. The HCCC-owned property is located between Jones Street to the east and Enos Place to the west.

New renderings have been released for 2875 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, a 54-story residential skyscraper in Journal Square, Jersey City. The proposed structure is expected to stand more than 550 feet tall and yield 790 rental units, as well as 60,000 square feet of retail space including a supermarket. The property is located at the intersection of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Bergen Avenue.

An updated design has been revealed for 829 Bergen Avenue, an 11-story residential building planned for Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by Emara Ghobrial Architects and developed by Tayfun Selen, the structure was recently approved by the Jersey City Planning Board and will yield 77 rental units, with eight dedicated to affordable housing. The project will also include 1,105 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is located between Vroom Street and Highland Avenue.

New renderings have been revealed for The Lucy, a 24-story residential building at 619 Grove Street near the waterfront of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Michael Graves Architecture and developed in a collaboration between SJP Properties, Claremont Development, and Battery Global Advisors, the structure is slated to yield 444 rental units with 13 reserved for affordable housing. The project will rise next to a historic church, rectory, and school on a property bounded by 16th Street to the north, 15th Street to the south, and Grove Street to the east.
