Eight-Story, 12,100 Square-Foot Residence Planned At 526 Canal Street, Tribeca

An anonymous LLC has filed applications for an eight-story, single-family residence at 526 Canal Street, in northern Tribeca. The building will measure an impressive 12,100 square feet, stand 100 feet tall, and will replace an existing four-unit building, which has already been slated for demolition. Living quarters will start on the third floor and span through to the seventh.

According to Schedule A, the “grand hall” will take up of the first floor, and a wine cave, service kitchen and formal dining room can be found on the second level. Up top, the eighth floor will have a pool, hot tub and sun room, which will open up to outdoor space and a roof garden. DXA Studio is the architect of record, and may also be designing.

Fisher Brothers, Witkoff, and New Valley have closed on a $445 million construction loan for their planned 58-story, 157-condo-unit luxury tower at 111 Murray Street, in Tribeca. YIMBY brought you new renderings of the Kohn Pedersen Fox-designed building last month, and David Mann is designing the interiors; retail space will also measure 2,100 square feet on the ground floor.

DDG’s Condo Project Approved At 100 Franklin Street, Tribeca

On adjacent triangular parcels at 100 Franklin Street — between West Broadway and Sixth Avenue, in Tribeca — DDG plans to develop two mixed-use buildings of six and eight stories tall, totaling 10 condominiums, with retail space on the ground floor. According to Crain’s Business, the Board of Standards and Appeals has granted DDG a variance to ignore a required upper-level set-back. The project is being designed in-house, and ground breaking is expected by the Fall, with completion is 2017. The LPC approved the project in January 2014.

Greystone Planning 10-Story Building At 108 Chambers Street, Tribeca

Greystone is planning to develop a 10-story building at 108 Chambers Street, in Tribeca, according to Tribeca Citizen. The property was acquired in April for $17 million, and is currently home to a single-story retail building. The site has roughly 12,000 square feet of unused air rights, but Greystone plans to demolish the existing structure. Site preparation is expected to begin in the next few weeks, but demolition and new building applications have yet to be filed.
