Located between West 16th Street and West 17th Street, the lot is one block north of the 18th Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. Robert Shengchu Huang is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction has topped out on 16 Dupont Street, a 40-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn‘s 22-acre Greenpoint Landing master plan. Designed by GKV Architects and developed by Rockefeller Group and Park Tower Group, the 400-foot-tall structure will span 365,651 square feet and yield 381 rental units, with 115 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 2,548 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 138 enclosed parking spaces. Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the intersection of Dupont, West, and Commercial Streets.
Construction is rising on 46-06 11th Street, an eight-story mixed-use building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Raymond Chan Architect and developed by Jim Yang under the JNMY LLC, the 85-foot-tall structure will span 89,684 square feet and yield 44 rental units with an average scope of 780 square feet, 20,355 square feet of community facility space, 1,240 square feet of commercial space, a cellar, a 20-foot-long rear yard, and 40 enclosed parking spaces. Mandarin Enterprises II Inc. is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 10-50 46th Avenue and located at the corner of 46th Avenue and 11th Street.
Construction is rising on 125 West 57th Street, a 26-story commercial building on Billionaires’ Row in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Cain International, the 440-foot-tall structure will span 260,000 square feet and yield 185,000 square feet of Class A office space, 7,000 square feet of retail space, and a new home for the Calvary Baptist Church, which has operated on the site since 1883 and sold the property to the developers for $150 million in 2017. Leading Builders Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located on an interior lot between Sixth and Seventh Avenues between Christian de Portzamparc‘s One57 and SHoP Architects‘ 111 West 57th Street.
The tallest building on our year-end construction countdown is JPMorgan Chase‘s 1,388-foot supertall headquarters at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown East. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners with Adamsom Associates as the architect of record and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 60-story skyscraper will yield 2.5 million square feet of office space with a capacity of 15,000 employees, and will become the tallest structure in New York completely powered by hydroelectric energy. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the full-block property, which is bound by East 48th Street to the north, East 47th Street to the south, Park Avenue to the east, and Madison Avenue to the west.
