Rendering of proposed changes at Court Square Park - New York City Parks Department

NYC Parks Department Reveals Preliminary Renderings of Court Square Park Modernization Project in Long Island City

On October 27, the Landmarks Preservation Commission will review proposals from the New York City Parks Department to modernize public spaces within Court Square Park in Long Island City. Because the park grounds surround the historic Queens County Court House building constructed between 1872 and 1876, the Parks Department will need a certificate of appropriateness from the LPC.

Exterior Work on UAE Consulate Nears Completion at 315 East 46th Street in Turtle Bay

Façade work is getting close to completion on the United Arab Emirates consulate at 315 East 46th Street in the Midtown East neighborhood of Turtle Bay. The 145-foot-tall, nine-story reinforced concrete structure is designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill, developed by Fisher Brothers, and is being built by Plaza Construction. The topped-out edifice is located just up the street from the future consulate of the Republic of Turkey.
