Plans to construct a single-family townhouse at 56 Middagh Street in the Brooklyn Heights Historic District have finally been approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC). The LPC rejected the plans in January and December 2020, then approved the architectural plans on May 18, 2021.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission will soon announce if developers can move forward with plans to construct a new rooftop pool at 124 Columbia Heights in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn. The ten-story building is located within the Brooklyn Heights Historic District and once served as a Jehovah’s Witness dormitory building.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission has again rejected proposals to construct a new three-story townhouse at 56 Middaugh Street in Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Pratt + Black Architects, the three-story townhouse would redevelop a partially vacant lot that is sandwiched between an existing single-story garage and another three-story, albeit shorter, single-family townhouse.
Exterior work is complete on The Symon, a 13-story condominium building at 76 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights. Colberg Architecture served as the architect of record and Lonicera Partners, Orange Management, and The Davis Companies are the three developers of the address. The property features 59 units with interior design by Studio DB, which also led the design of the curtain wall. The project is located between Boerum Place and Court Street along the border with Boerum Hill.
The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights opened for occupancy this week at 21 Clark Street in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn. The senior living community occupies the former Leverich Towers Hotel originally constructed in 1928.
