One Clinton Nears Completion at 280 Cadman Plaza West in Brooklyn Heights

Work is nearing completion on One Clinton, a 36-story residential tower at 280 Cadman Plaza West in Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Marvel Architects for Hudson Companies, the 409-foot-tall structure yields 295,000 square feet with 134 residential units, a 9,000-square-foot STEM research center, and One Clinton Street Library, a new public library replacing the Brooklyn Heights Library that formerly occupied the site. Consigli & Associates, LLC is the general contractor for One Clinton, which stands on a narrow parcel bound by Clinton Street and Cadman Plaza West.

Façade work is continuing on 200 Montague Street, a 20-story residential building in the Borough Hall Skyscraper Historic District of Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle with James M. Patterson of Ancora Engineering and developed by Midtown Equities, the 140,700-square-foot structure will yield 121 rental units marketed by M.N.S. Real Estate NYC for Aurora Capital Associates. Cauldwell Wingate is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Court and Clinton Streets.

Façade installation is nearing completion on One Clinton, a 36-story residential tower at 280 Cadman Plaza West in Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Marvel and developed by Hudson Companies, the 409-foot-tall structure will yield 295,000 square feet with 134 residential units, a 9,000-square-foot STEM research center, and One Clinton Street Library, a new public library that will replace the former Brooklyn Heights Library. The triangular-shaped building stands on a narrow parcel bound by Clinton Street and Cadman Plaza West. Consigli & Associates, LLC is the general contractor for One Clinton.

The Symon Finishes Construction at 76 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights

Construction is now complete on The Symon, a 13-story condominium building at 76 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights. Designed by Colberg Architecture and developed by Lonicera Partners, Orange Management, and The Davis Companies, the property features 59 units with interiors by Studio DB, which also led the design of the façade. The project is located between Boerum Place and Court Street, along the border with Boerum Hill.

Brooklyn Bank Row Designations Move Forward with Public Hearing

In August, YIMBY reported on the Landmarks Preservation Commission calendaring two buildings in Brooklyn that sit between two existing historic districts. On Tuesday, the process of preserving 181 Montague Street and 185 Montague Street took a step forward, as the commission held public hearings on their designations.

Not every building alteration is noteworthy, but when one in the city’s first historic district goes before the full Landmarks Preservation Commission and includes the restoration of a stoop, we’ll try to tell that story. Such is the case at 36 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn, where new work would take it from four apartments to single-family use.

Construction Begins On Pier 3 Of Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn Heights

Ground has recently been broken to transform Pier 3, located within Brooklyn Bridge Park in Brooklyn Heights, into a functional park. Pier 3 represents the last portion of the Brooklyn Bridge Park project. It will feature a large lawn, a playground, walking paths, vegetation, and a plaza, according to a rendering released by Curbed NY. This portion of Brooklyn Bridge Park is estimated to cost $26 million and is scheduled to be completed in 2018. Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates is the landscape architect.

Permits Filed for Pair Of ODA-Designed Towers in Brooklyn Bridge Park

In June 2015, then-Brooklyn Bridge Park President Regina Myer revealed renderings for the last two residential towers set to rise in the park, on Pier 6. Now, ODA Architecture, which is designing them, has filed plans for the pair of developments at 15 and 50 Bridge Park Drive.

146 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights Cleared for 19-Story Tower

Jonathan Rose Companies has finished knocking down a nine-story office building and a four-story residential one at 146 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights, where they’re planning a 19-story, mixed-use tower. Tectonic recently swung by the site between Clinton Street and Cadman Plaza West and sent along this shot of the demolition progress.
