Construction Progresses on 51 Ash Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Construction is progressing on 51 Ash Street, a five-story mixed-use hotel in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Jeffrey Kamen Architect and developed by a non-profit organization formerly known as the North Brooklyn Boat Club, the 60-foot-tall structure will span 18,106 square feet and yield 11 hotel rooms spread across 9,856 square feet, as well as an 8,250-square-foot community facility for the North Brooklyn Community Boathouse (NBCB), a non-profit volunteer-run organization providing boating access to NYC waterways, workshops, and educational programs. Brooklyn Construction Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located on a narrow strip of land along Ash Street between Newtown Creek and the Pulaski Bridge.

Exterior work is moving along on the first phase of 75 Dupont Street, an eight-story mixed-use building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Hill West Architects with Whitehall Interiors as the interior designer and Madison Realty Capital as the developer, the 400,000-square-foot structure will yield 471 units with 143 designated for affordable housing, as well as 189 on-site parking spaces and a potential grocery store. Omnibuild is the general contractor for the property, which was formerly addressed as 14 Clay Street and is bound by the confluence of Commercial and Clay Streets to the north, Dupont Street to the south, and Franklin Street to the west.

Excavation is underway at 1036 Manhattan Avenue, the site of an eight-story mixed-use building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by ASH NYC under the 170 Freeman LLC, the 83-foot-tall structure will span 56,408 square feet and yield 67 rental units with an average scope of 654 square feet, as well as 767 square feet of commercial space, a cellar, and a 30-foot-long rear yard. MNC General Contractors Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Manhattan Avenue and Freeman Street.

Construction has topped out on 16 Dupont Street, a 40-story residential tower in Greenpoint, Brooklyn‘s 22-acre Greenpoint Landing master plan. Designed by GKV Architects and developed by Rockefeller Group and Park Tower Group, the 400-foot-tall structure will span 365,651 square feet and yield 381 rental units, with 115 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 2,548 square feet of ground-floor retail space and 138 enclosed parking spaces. Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the intersection of Dupont, West, and Commercial Streets.
