Façade Installation Progresses on The Hospital For Special Surgery’s Expansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Curtain wall installation is progressing on The Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Tower, a 12-story waterfront expansion of the Hospital For Special Surgery at 535 East 70th Street in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by EwingCole, the $200 million addition will span 100,000 square feet directly over FDR Drive and connect the main hospital wing to the south via a sky bridge. Tishman Construction Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 71st and 72nd Streets.

Foundations for Victoria and Lloyd Goldman Health Care Pavilion Take Shape at 1345 Third Avenue on Mannattan’s Upper East Side

Foundation work is progressing for the Victoria and Lloyd Goldman Health Care Pavilion, formerly called the Northwell Medical Pavilion, a 15-story medical facility for Lenox Hill Hospital at 1345 Third Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Ennead Architects with EwingCole as the medical architect and developed by Northwell Health and The University Financing Foundation, the 200,000-square-foot outpatient center will stand nearly 215 feet tall and offer specialized cancer care services, imaging and lab testing, cardiac care, neuroscience programs, a sleep study center, acute and chronic disease management, social work services, and more. JB&B is the MEP engineer, Severud Associates is the structural engineer, and Lendlease is the general contractor for the $450 million project, which is located in Lenox Hill between East 76th and East 77th Streets.

New Renderings Revealed for KPF’s 520 Fifth Avenue Supertall in Midtown, Manhattan

New renderings have been revealed for 520 Fifth Avenue, an 88-story residential supertall skyscraper under construction in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, which took over from Ceruzzi Properties and SMI USA in 2019, the 1,002-foot-tall structure will span 415,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units and commercial space on the ground floor and four cellar levels. WSP is the structural engineer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant, Charles & Co. is the interior designer, and Suffolk Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.
