Foundations are beginning to take shape at 622 Eleventh Avenue, the site of a 14-story residential building in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by S. Wieder Architect and developed by Cheskel Schwimmer of Chess Builders, the 119-foot-tall structure will span 127,613 square feet and yield 188 rental units with an average scope of 677 square feet, as well as 173 square feet of commercial space. The property is bound by West 46th Street to the north and Eleventh Avenue to the west, with frontage on both streets.

44-Story Skyscraper Revealed for 42-50 24th Street in Long Island City, Queens

Updated plans and renderings have been revealed for 42-50 24th Street, an upcoming 44-story residential skyscraper in downtown Long Island City, Queens. Developed by Chris Jiashu Xu of United Construction & Development, the 589-foot-tall structure will stand as the second-tallest condominium tower in the borough, only surpassed by the developer’s 67-story, 763-foot-tall Skyline Tower a few streets to the south. The site is bound by 23rd Street to the west, 43rd Avenue to the south, and 24th Street to the east.

RFP Released For Coney Island West Development in Coney Island, Brooklyn

Mayor Eric Adams and the New York City Economic Development Corporation have released a request for proposals (RFP) for the first city-owned parcel in Coney Island West, a redevelopment masterplan in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The initiative aims to create 1,500 new mixed-income residential units, retail space, and other public improvements including the reconstruction of Reigelmann Boardwalk, a $42 million renovation to the 55-year old Abe Stark Sports Center, shoreline enhancements along Coney Island Creek against storm surges, sewer upgrades, and new streets. Coney Island West is generally bound by Surf Avenue to the north, Coney Island Beach to the south, Maimonides Park to the east, and West 23rd Street to the west.

Construction has topped out on 109 South 3rd Street, a four-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Nikolai Katz Architect and developed by Joseph Spiegel, the structure will span 6,094 square feet and yield ten rental units with an average scope of 609 square feet. The building will also feature a cellar level and a 38-foot-long rear yard. The property is located between Berry Street and Bedford Avenue.

Façade Installation Progresses on 1 Park Row in the Financial District, Manhattan

Façade installation is continuing on 1 Park Row, a 23-story mixed-use building in Lower Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Fogarty Finger Architects and developed by Circle F Capital, the 305-foot-tall structure will span 103,000 square feet and yield 62 condominium units in studio- to three-bedroom layouts. The building will also contain 19,000 square feet of office and retail space on the lower levels. The property is located at the intersection of Park Row and Ann Street, directly across from the southern tip of City Hall Park.
