Designed by Sguera Architecture and developed by Andrew Impagliazzo under the 619W46 LLC, the structure will stand 60 feet tall and yield 15,279 square feet, with 12,279 square feet designated for residential space divided into 15 rental units averaging roughly 877 square feet each, 3,000 square feet for community facility space, and a cellar level. The property is located at the corner of East 58th Street and the ramp leading up to the upper road deck of the Queensboro Bridge between First and Second Avenues.

Construction is rapidly progressing on 570 Washington Street, a 17-story residential building on the border of Manhattan’s West Village and Hudson Square neighborhoods. Designed by COOKFOX with SLCE as the architect of record and developed by Jonathan Rose Companies, Atlas Capital Group, The Baupost Group, and Zeckendorf Development, the structure will yield 175 affordable senior apartments with an average scope of 1,065 square feet, as well as 3,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The ground-up development is rising on the same block as the two-tower 80 Clarkson Street complex and is bound by Clarkson Street to the north, West Houston Street to the south, Washington Street to the east, and 80 Clarkson and West Street to the west.

COOKFOX’s 80 Clarkson Reaches Pinnacle Over Manhattan’s West Village

Construction has approached the top floors at 80 Clarkson, a two-tower residential complex along the Hudson River waterfront in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and SLCE Architects and developed by Zeckendorf Development, Atlas Capital Group, and the Baupost Group, the project consists of 37- and 45-story structures standing 420 and 490 feet tall, respectively. The $1.25 billion development will span approximately 650,000 square feet and yield 112 condominium units, nearly 37,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and enclosed parking for 69 vehicles. The mixed-use property is bound by Clarkson Street to the north, West Houston Street to the south, the 17-story 570 Washington Street to the east, and West Street to the west.

Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Douglaston Development, the 478-foot-tall structure will span 287,632 square feet and yield 125 condominium units with an average scope of 1,804 square feet. The building will also contain 40,864 square feet of commercial space, 21,224 square feet of community facility space, a cellar level, and a 20-foot-long rear yard. The property is alternately addressed as 175 East 82nd Street and located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 82nd Street.

70 Hudson Yards Breaks Ground in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Construction is officially underway at 70 Hudson Yards, a forthcoming 47-story office skyscraper in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. Designed by Roger Ferris+ Partners and Gensler and developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties, the future 1.1-million-square-foot structure will rise to an architectural height of 717 feet and is reportedly planned to become New York’s first zero-carbon emission skyscraper. The all-electric mixed-use building is alternatively addressed as 514 West 36th Street and will rise from an assemblage of two adjacent parcels bound by West 36th and 35th Streets to the north and south, The Set at 451 Tenth Avenue to the east, and Hudson Boulevard East and Bella Abzug Park to the west.
