Renderings from Gertler & Wente Architects reveal a nine-story mixed-use building at 52 Fourth Avenue in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Located at the corner of Dean Street in the heart of the neighborhood’s buzzing retail corridor, the 55,000-square-foot structure will yield 52 rental apartments as well as ground-floor commercial space.
Permits have been filed for a 13-story residential building at 219 Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Chapel Street and Jay Street, the corner lot is a five-minute walk from High Street – Brooklyn Bridge subway station, serviced by the A and C trains. Tankhouse Development under the 450WSP LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Last month, RXR Realty celebrated the topping off of The Willoughby, a 34-story mixed-use tower at 196 Willoughby Street on the Long Island University Brooklyn campus. Located in Downtown Brooklyn, the new ground-up structure contains residential units, academic and office space, a state-of-the-art athletic field, and parking for 564 vehicles. Perkins Eastman is responsible for the design of the 435-foot-tall building.
FXCollaborative has updated design proposals for a new residential tower and partial expansion of the historic Brooklyn Music School in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located at 130 Saint Felix Street, the most notable changes in the architect’s proposals include a new structural height of 265 feet, down from 285 feet, and a series of setback terrace levels toward the top of the building. The proposal was approved at a Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) meeting on August 4th.
Work is nearing completion on The Alfred on Fleet, a 12-story condominium building at 112 Fleet Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Formerly known as 167 Willoughby Street, the structure comprises 24,250 square feet spread across 23 units.
