Two weeks ago, YIMBY posted the first exteriors for the Robert A.M. Stern-designed revamp of One Wall Street, and now a new video for the project has appeared, featuring its developer Harry Macklowe, which comes with fresh renderings of what the project’s retail may look like.

Earlier this year, YIMBY brought you a proposal for the transformation of One Wall Street created by CetraRuddy. While that version of the tower will remain unbuilt, we now have the first rendering of actual plans, created by Robert A.M. Stern for developer Macklowe Properties, as well as word that the development is seeking $100 million in EB-5 funding, or 6.6% of its projected cost of $1.502 billion.
Over the summer, YIMBY revealed renderings for Related Companies’ planned 13-story, 47-unit residential building at 70 Vestry Street (aka 264 West Street), in Tribeca, and now the developer has landed $200 million in construction loans, provided by Bank of America. The building will measure 154,019 square feet in total, and includes roughly 800 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. Robert A.M. Stern is designing, while Ismael Leyva is serving as the architect of record. Demolition permits have already been approved to raze the site’s existing tenement and low-rise buildings.
The current round of the 57th Street boom is making rapid progress, and construction work at 220 Central Park South in particular is moving quickly. Despite all the momentum, slight uncertainty has surrounded the building’s final design, but YIMBY now has a fresh rendering confirming the skyscraper’s ultimate appearance.
When we last checked in at Silverstein’s 30 Park Place, the 67-story hotel and condo tower had just topped out, becoming the tallest residential building in Lower Manhattan. Now most of the structure has its windows, except for the top 15 stories or so. Cladding has reached even further, and only the five uppermost floors are still naked steel and concrete.
