The affordable housing lottery has launched for House 55, a 38-story residential building at 55 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Colberg Architecture with Architecture Outfit, and developed in a joint venture by Lonicera Partners and Rabina, the structure yields 295 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 89 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $126,343 to $227,500.

Permits Filed for 158 South Oxford Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 158 South Oxford Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located between Atlantic Avenue and Hanson Place, the interior lot is one block from the Lafayette Avenue subway station, served by the C train. Shimon Kleinman is listed as the owner behind the applications.

At number 30 on our year-end countdown of the tallest construction projects underway in New York is 95 Rockwell Place, a 489-foot-tall mixed-use tower in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Charney Companies, the 38-story structure will yield 158 condominium units with an average scope of 855 square feet. The project will also include 32,568 square feet of commercial space and a cellar level. The property is located between Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street.

27-Story Tower Proposed for 144 St. Felix Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn

Renderings have been revealed for a proposed 27-story residential tower at 144 St. Felix Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by FXCollaborative and ADP Architects and developed by Stretke, the structure is slated to yield 240 units, with 60 permanently dedicated to affordable housing. Plans call for the incorporation of the landmarked Hanson Place Central United Methodist Church into the base of the tower, which would also include ground-floor retail space and a community facility. The property is located at the corner of Felix Street and Hanson Place, within the Brooklyn Academy of Music Historic District.

FXCollaborative has updated design proposals for a new residential tower and partial expansion of the historic Brooklyn Music School in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Located at 130 Saint Felix Street, the most notable changes in the architect’s proposals include a new structural height of 265 feet, down from 285 feet, and a series of setback terrace levels toward the top of the building. The proposal was approved at a Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) meeting on August 4th.

LPC Approves Rooftop Addition At 370 Adelphi Street In Fort Greene, Brooklyn

The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) has approved proposals to renovate a three-story townhouse at 370 Adelphi Street in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Historic District. Drawings submitted to the LPC only specify alterations at the rear of the property with a rooftop addition and do not propose any changes to the face of the structure along Adelphi Street. The building was purchased by Sarah McNally, the founder of McNally Jackson Books, for around $2.53 million in 2019.

Sales Launch For Landmarked 75 Greene Avenue In Fort Greene, Brooklyn

The conversion of 75 Greene Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, is making headway, and YIMBY has word that sales have now officially launched for the project. As a landmarked structure, the exterior is being preserved and renovated while the interiors will house 22 units. The project is being developed by Douglaston Development and financed by G4 Capital Partners. Units will range from $845,000 to $2.6 million, and 20 percent are already under contract.
