TD Bank Expands Presence To 130,057 Square Feet at 125 Park Avenue In Midtown, Manhattan

SL Green Realty Corporation, Manhattan’s largest office landlord, recently announced the signing of a new 26,255-square-foot, ten-year lease with TD Bank at 125 Park Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. The lease covers the entire eighth floor of the landmarked building. With this expansion, TD Bank now occupies a total of 130,057 square feet in the building, bringing 125 Park Avenue to 100 percent occupancy.

Skylift At Top of The Rock Opens At 30 Rockefeller Center in Midtown, Manhattan

Last week, Rockefeller Center celebrated the opening of Skylift at Top of The Rock, a new open-air attraction at 30 Rockefeller Center in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed in collaboration between architect Richard J. DeMarco, AIA, principal of MADGI, and experiential designer THG Creative, the experience hoists visitors to nearly 900 feet above street level on a revolving platform, providing unobstructed 360-degree views of New York City. 30 Rockefeller Center is bound by Sixth Avenue, Rockefeller Plaza, and West 49th and West 50th Streets.

Excavation Progresses at 509 West 48th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Excavation work is moving along steadily at 509 West 48th Street, the site of an eight-story residential building in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by S9 Architecture and Engineering and developed by Douglaston Development under the West 48 Owner LLC, the 77-foot-tall structure will span 131,720 square feet and yield 158 rental units with an average scope of 795 square feet, as well as a 6,026-square-foot affordable rehearsal and coworking space for artists operated by the non-profit IndieSpace on the ground floor, and a public open space designed and maintained by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. The project is alternately addressed as 705 Tenth Avenue and is being constructed over active rail tracks on a plot bound by Tenth Avenue, West 48th, and West 49th Streets.

Excavation Underway for Lirio At 364 West 54th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Excavation and pilings are underway for Lirio, a nine-story all-affordable housing building at 364 West 54th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by The Hudson Companies in collaboration with Housing Works, and supported by the New York City Department of Housing and Preservation and the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), the structure will yield 112 permanently affordable units, nearly 30,000 square feet of office space for the MTA, and ground-floor retail space along Ninth Avenue. The property is alternately addressed as 806 Ninth Avenue and is situated at the intersection of Ninth Avenue and West 54th Street.
