The site is eight blocks away from the Tremont train station, serviced by Metro North. Jeff Fox of Foxy Management is responsible for the development, and the firm purchased the lot for $4 million earlier this year.
Permits have been filed for a 151-key hotel at 97-18 Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. The site is four blocks from the Sutphin Boulevard subway station, serviced by the E and J trains, and connecting to the JFK AirTrain. The LIRR also runs through the area, at the Jamaica train station three blocks from the site. MP Hospitality is listed as responsible for the development.

Six blocks away is the Brooklyn Museum. Stephan Tchorbajian of Hye Rise Consulting is listed as behind the applications.
