Today, we have an interview with the project’s architect Morris Adjmi, illuminating the challenges of building a new tower in a landmarked district. Permits have been filed by the Moinian Group for a major new 37-story mixed-use tower to rise at 3 Platt Street, in the Financial District of Manhattan. The building will also have the address of 110 John Street. The site is five blocks away from the Fulton Street subway station entrance, serviced by the A, C, J, Z, 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 368 Lenox Road, in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The site is three blocks away from the Winthrop Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Joseph Kaufman is responsible for the development’s applications.
Permits have been filed for a six-story hotel at 9114 5th Avenue, in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Fort Hamilton Triangle 95th Street subway station, end of the line for R trains. Bayridge Realty LLC will be responsible for the development.
