Exterior Work Nears Completion on 80 Clarkson Two-Tower Development in Manhattan’s West Village

Façade installation is almost finished on 80 Clarkson, a two-tower residential complex along the Hudson River waterfront in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by COOKFOX with SLCE as the architect of record, and developed by Zeckendorf Development and Atlas Capital Group, with the Baupost Group, the project consists of 37- and 45-story structures standing 420 and 490 feet tall, respectively. The $1.25 billion development will span approximately 650,000 square feet and yield 112 condominium units, nearly 37,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a 69-vehicle parking garage. Suffolk Construction is serving as the general contractor for the property, which is bounded by Clarkson Street to the north, West Houston Street to the south, the 17-story 570 Washington Street to the east, and West Street to the west.

Renderings Reveal 430 Park Avenue Renovation in Midtown East, Manhattan

New renderings have been revealed for the $68 million renovation of 430 Park Avenue, a 19-story office building in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by Studios Architecture and Marx Realty’s in-house design team, the project will introduce a new lobby and 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. The property is owned by Marx Realty in partnership with Midwood Investment & Management and Oestreicher Properties and is located between East 55th and 56th Streets.

New Residential Developments Underway on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

The mid-rise developments are part of the steady wave of construction transforming the neighborhood and are both located in close proximity to the 1, 2, and 3 trains at the 72nd and 79th Street stations along Broadway.

Construction is nearing completion on 362-372 Livingston Street, a complex of three abutting 22-story residential buildings in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by NY Building Associates Inc. and developed by Yitzchok Katz of Goose Property Management, the 235-foot-tall structure will yield 297 condominium units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as 5,000-square feet of ground-floor commercial space. The property is located at the intersection of Livingston Street and Flatbush Avenue.

Extell’s 50 West 66th Street Completes Construction on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction is complete on 50 West 66th Street, a 69-story residential skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Snøhetta and developed by Extell and Tennor Holding, the 775-foot-tall tower stands as the tallest structure on the Upper West Side and yields 127 condominium units. SLCE Architects is the executive architect for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West with frontage on both West 65th and West 66th Streets.

Rendering Revealed for Extell’s 37 West 66th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

A new rendering has been revealed for 37 West 66th Street, a forthcoming 25-story mixed-use residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group and developed by Extell Development, the 355-foot-tall structure will span 384,962 square feet and yield 158 condominium units with an average scope of 1,218 square feet. The project will also include 192,481 square feet of commercial space. The property is located between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.

Phase One of Port Authority Bus Terminal Redevelopment Progresses in Midtown, Manhattan

Work is moving along on the first phase of the redevelopment of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and Epstein (A. Epstein and Sons International) as a joint venture for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), the $10 billion project will replace the 74-year-old, 2.1-million-square-foot structure with a modern, higher capacity terminal to better serve its hundreds of thousands of daily commuters. The property spans two city blocks between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and West 40th and 42nd Streets.

46-Story Skyscraper Continues Ascent at 30-25 Queens Boulevard in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is quickly rising at 30-25 Queens Boulevard, a 46-story residential skyscraper in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Baron Property Group and LargaVista, the 525-foot-tall structure will span around 511,000 square feet and yield 561 units, including 169 designated for affordable housing. The project will also include 21,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is alternately addressed as both 29-00 Northern Boulevard and 29-10 Queens Boulevard, and is located at the corner of Queens Plaza East and Queens Boulevard, directly west of the Sunnyside Yards rail tracks.

Renderings have been revealed for 30 Broad Street, a nine-story mixed-use building under construction in Port Chester, Westchester County. Designed by Sarrazin Architecture and developed by St. Katherine Group, the nearly 40,000-square-foot structure will yield 36 units in studio to one-bedroom layouts. The project will also include 4,000 square feet of office space and Port Chester’s first microbrewery. The site is alternately addressed as 136-138 Irving Avenue and is located at the intersection of Broad Street and Irving Avenue.

Radiant LIC Completes Construction at 24-01 Queens Plaza North in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is finished on Radiant LIC, a 19-story residential building at 24-01 Queens Plaza North in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by ODA New York and developed by New Empire Corporation, the 115,000-square-foot structure yields 117 condominium units in studio to two-bedroom layouts. The project also includes 2,738 square feet of commercial space and a suite of amenities. The property is alternately addressed as 41-45 24th Street and is located on an 8,967-square-foot lot at the corner of 24th Street and Queens Plaza North.
