Petersen Commons Breaks Ground At 1440 Rahway Avenue in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey

Construction recently broke ground on Petersen Commons, a three-story residential building at 1440 Rahway Avenue in the Avenel neighborhood of Woodbridge Township, New Jersey. Designed by Thriven Design and developed by Pennrose, the structure will yield 60 affordable units in one- to two-bedroom layouts for senior veterans 55 and older. The project will also include a superintendent’s residence. The property is located along County Road 514 between Randolph and Omar Avenues, directly south of the 101-unit Greens at Avenel affordable housing complex.

555 New Brunswick Avenue Nears Completion in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey

Construction is nearing completion on The Park at Fords Corner, a six-story residential building at 555 New Brunswick Avenue in Woodbridge Township, New Jersey. Designed by Thriven Design and developed by Green Pathway Urban Renewal LLC, the structure will yield 113 apartments, with 15 percent dedicated to affordable housing. The project will also include a ground-floor cafe. The 62,656-square-foot property is located at the corner of New Brunswick Avenue and Raymond Street, directly west of Green Oak Senior Housing, the first phase of the redevelopment.

Five-Story Building Approved for 792 Communipaw Avenue in Jersey City, New Jersey

The Jersey City Planning Board has approved plans for 792 Communipaw Avenue, a five-story residential building in the Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Studio A+M Architects and developed by Academy Capital, the 32,583-square-foot structure will yield 38 apartments, with four dedicated to affordable housing. The project will also include more than 2,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, with nearly 74 feet of frontage facing Communipaw Avenue. The 7,300-square-foot property is located by the corner of West Side Avenue.

Updated Renderings Revealed for 56 Park Place in Newark, New Jersey

New renderings have been revealed for 56 Park Place, a proposed 27-story residential building in Newark, New Jersey. Designed by MVMK Architecture and developed by the 56 Park Place LLC, the structure is planned to stand 285 feet tall. In addition to residential space, the project is planned to contain a ground-floor restaurant, a parking garage, and amenities on the third story and roof level. The property comprises two narrow interior lots between East Park Street and Center Street.

Renderings Revealed for Meadowlands Convention Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey

The Meadowlands Chamber recently unveiled renderings for the proposed four-story Meadowlands Convention Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Designed by TVS Design, the 460,000-square-foot facility is planned to include event and ballroom space, along with a 1,000-room hotel and a 6,000-seat arena. The $3 billion project would rise on the site of the existing Meadowlands Arena, formerly the Izod Center, directly between the American Dream Mall and Metlife Stadium.

Two-Building Highland Views Housing Complex Breaks Ground in Newark, New Jersey

Construction has broken ground on Highland Views, a pair of four-story residential buildings in the Central Ward section of Newark, New Jersey. Designed by KNTM Architects and developed by TAG Development, the structures will yield a total of 180 affordable rental units for senior citizens. The 2.3-acre property is located along South 13th Street, directly across from West Side Park.

New Renderings Revealed For 87 Van Horne Street in Jersey City, New Jersey

New renderings have been revealed for 87 Van Horne Street, a six-story residential building in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by MHS Architecture and developed by Wallabout Realty, 81-foot-tall structure will yield 170 rental units, including 18 moderate-income affordable units. The project will also feature a 109-vehicle parking garage and a bike storage room with 85 spots. The property is situated within the Morris Canal Redevelopment Plan bounded by Van Horne Street to the southeast, active light rail tracks to the southwest, Woodward Street and Berry Lane Park to the northwest, and two rows of low-rise homes to the northeast.

New renderings have been revealed for 1301 Willow Avenue, a proposed six-story residential building in the northern end of Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by MVMK Architecture + Design and developed by a subsidiary of Red Bridge Homes, the structure will yield nine units. The project will also include 1,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space and an eight-vehicle parking garage. The property is located at the northeast corner of Willow Avenue and 13th Street.

Renderings Reveal Three-Building Development at 1 Lefante Way in Bayonne, New Jersey

Renderings have been revealed for 1 Lefante Way, a three-tower mixed-use complex in Bayonne, New Jersey. Designed by MHS Architects and co-owned by South Cove Development II LLC and South Cove Development III LLC, the project will consist of two 300-foot-tall residential towers and an eight-story hotel building. The property is comprised of two parcels within the Riverwalk at South Cove Redevelopment, and is bounded by the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway to the north the South Cove Commons strip mall to the south.

Designed by MVMK Architecture and developed by Heshy Eissenberg and Jacob Lipschitz under the Memorial Avenue Holdings Urban Renewal LLC, the structure will yield 92 apartments, with 19 designated as affordable housing. The project will also include 7,248 square feet of office space, residential amenities, and parking for 107 vehicles. The 1.13-acre property consists of four parcels at the corner of Springwood Avenue and Memorial Drive.
