Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 86 Starr Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The site is half a block away from the Maria Hernandez Park, and six blocks from the Central Avenue subway station, serviced by the M train. Ioan Sita is responsible for the development.
In 2006, there was a 10-alarm fire that destroyed the historic waterside Greenpoint Terminal Market. A few small buildings remained onsite before they were finally demolished in 2017. Now, the site is cleared for development and Greenpoint is about to yield yet another major addition to New York City’s skyline, named Calyer Place, after the neighborhood street. Renderings have been released, revealing a scenic landscaped public esplanade overlooking the Manhattan skyline, along with five mixed-use structures populating the site. M&H Realty LLC is responsible for the development.
A definitive seven-building assemblage is expected to take rise in Brownsville, Brooklyn, following a recent community impact assessment and subsequent filings for permits and rezoning rights. Named the “Marcus Garvey Extension,” the new development will comprise 908,460 gross square feet with anticipated completion in 2024.
Construction on the future Ace Hotel at 266 Schermerhorn Street is now making substantial progress, with the building reaching the halfway mark, as seen in the latest photos from Tectonic. Located in Downtown Brooklyn between the Hoyt-Schermerhorn and Nevins St subway line, the new 13-story hotel is designed by Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors, and is being developed by GFI Hospitality and GFI Development Company.

The site is eight blocks from the Barclays Center subway station, a crossroads for the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, and W trains. Tankhouse Development is responsible for the project.
