Located between Jay and Lawrence Streets, the interior lot is steps from the Jay Street-MetroTech subway station, serviced by the A, C, F, and R trains. Work is continuing on the topped-out Brooklyn Tower, a 1,066-foot residential supertall at 9 DeKalb Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn and number six on our December countdown. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS, the 93-story tower holds the title of the tallest structure in the Outer Boroughs that will yield 150 condominiums, 280 market-rate rentals, 120 affordable rentals, as well as a 100,000-square-foot retail podium bound by Flatbush Avenue Extension to the northeast, Fleet Street to the northwest, and DeKalb Avenue to the south. The Brooklyn Tower complex also includes the refurbishing and repurposing of the landmarked Dime Savings Bank of Brooklyn, which is being incorporated into the podium. Douglas Elliman is serving as the exclusive marketing, sales, and leasing agent. Thirty percent of rentals are designated as affordable housing units, and residences for purchase start over 500 feet above street level.
At number 16 on our countdown is The Alloy Block, a multi-tower complex designed and developed by Alloy Development in Downtown Brooklyn. Located along the border with Boerum Hill, the project consists of the 840-foot-tall 80 Flatbush Avenue and the 44-story, 482-foot-tall 100 Flatbush Avenue. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is in charge of building the foundations, and Urban Atelier Group will take over the superstructure work, which will rise from the trapezoidal plot bound by Flatbush Avenue to the northeast, State Street to the southwest, and 3rd Avenue to the northwest.

A new 24-story commercial tower at 141 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn has officially topped out. From developer Savanna Real Estate, the new property comprises 400,000 square feet with a mix of Class A office space and retail on the lower floors.
