Permits have been filed for a 23-story office building at 141 Willoughby Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Located between Gold Street and Prince Street, the lot is one block north of the DeKalb Avenue subway station, serviced by the B, Q, and R trains. Gregory Jaffe of Savanna Fund is listed as the owner behind the applications.
City officials have approved plans submitted by Slate Property Group to construct a new mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Located at 570 Fulton Street, the structure is designed by Hill West Architects and will contain a combination of market-rate apartments, affordable housing, and office space.
Located in Downtown Brooklyn, One Willoughby Square, aka 420 Albee Square, is going to be a new 500,000-square foot Class-A office tower. The 18,000-square foot site is situated across the street from City Point and Brooklyn Point. As of now, work on the 34-story, 495-foot tall development is climbing above the fifth floor. It is being designed by FXCollaborative and bring developed by JEMB Realty. Gilbane is in charge of construction.
Once again, January has arrived, alongside New York YIMBY’s annual pipeline report. After our mid-2018 update portended a banner year for new construction, the 2019 report has confirmed it, as the total number of multi-family units filed with the Department of Buildings saw a tremendous surge over the past 365 days. 2018 saw 32,580 multi-family units filed with the DOB, beating 2017’s total of 19,180 units by a whopping 70%. Tishman Speyer is the developer of the 57-story, ground-up residential structure, which will rise on a full block. Hill West is the architect of record, while Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is managing sales for the 480 units.
