22 Chapel Street’s Façade Approaches Completion in Downtown Brooklyn

Exterior work continues to progress on 22 Chapel Street, a 20-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Delshah Capital and OTL Enterprises, the 211-foot-tall building spans 133,181 square feet and will yield 180 apartments, of which 25 will be designated for affordable housing. The property will also contain a START Treatment & Recovery Center, New York’s largest independent drug treatment agency. Titanium Construction Services Inc. is the general contractor for the development, which is being built between Flatbush Avenue Extension to the east, Chapel Street to the north, Cathedral Place to the south, and Jay Street to the west.

One Boerum Place’s Exterior Wrapping Up in Downtown Brooklyn

Finishing touches are underway on One Boerum Place, a 22-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Avery Hall InvestmentsAllegra Holdings, and Aria Development Group, the $250 million project will yield 96 market-rate rentals with interiors designed by Gachot Studios. Nancy Packes, Inc. is in charge of leasing the units, which hit the market this spring and range from one- to four-bedroom layouts with access to a wide range of indoor and outdoor amenities. One Boerum Place is located on a relatively narrow parcel bound by Boerum Place to the west, Fulton Street to the north, and Red Hook Lane to the east. Occupancy at One Boerum Place has already commenced. Leeding Builders Group, LLC is the general contractor for the building.

Construction is continuing to rise on 9 DeKalb Avenue, a 93-story residential skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn, as the structure nears the 984-foot-tall threshold that will make it the first supertall in the outer boroughs. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by JDS, the 1,066-foot-tall project will yield 400 rental apartments, 30 percent of which are marketed at affordable housing rates, and 150 condominiums above a retail podium bound by Flatbush Avenue Extension to the northeast, Fleet Street to the northwest, the landmark Dime Savings Bank of Brooklyn to the southwest, and DeKalb Avenue to the south.

Construction is nearing the halfway mark on 141 Willoughby Street, a 24-story commercial building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Fogarty Finger with SLCE as the executive architect and developed by Savanna Real Estate, which secured $264 million in construction financing earlier this year, the 400,000-square-foot structure will yield a mix of office and retail space on a trapezoidal plot bound by Willoughby Street to the south, Gold Street to the west, and Flatbush Avenue Extension to the east. Gilbane Building Company and Savcon are the general contractors for the project.
