Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, the 88-story structure will span 415,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units and 25 floors of boutique office space. The project will also include ground-floor retail and an extensive collection of amenities. The property is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.

Slate Property Group and Breaking Ground have completed the acquisition of the Stewart Hotel at 371 Seventh Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. The acquisition marks the start of a hotel-to-residential conversion project that will deliver 579 permanently affordable apartments. Slate will lead the development and construction of the project, which will be owned and operated by Breaking Ground upon completion. The 13th-tallest building on our annual construction countdown is Casoni, a 785-foot-tall residential skyscraper in the Garment District of Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Sioni Group in partnership with AB & Sons, the 70-story structure will span 384,118 square feet and yield 311 rental and condominium units with an average scope of 991 square feet. The building will also contain two cellar levels. The property is located at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and West 37th Street.

At number 17 on our year-end construction countdown is 70 Hudson Yards, a 717-foot-tall commercial skyscraper in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. Designed by Roger Ferris + Partners and Gensler and developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties, the 47-story structure is planned to become New York’s first zero-carbon emission skyscraper and will yield 1.1 million square feet of office space. The property is bounded by West 36th to the north, West 35th Street to the south, and Hudson Boulevard East to the west.
