Updated renderings from Morris Adjmi Architects reveal scaled-back designs for a residential expansion at 959 Sterling Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The building sits immediately in front of the Hebron Seventh Day Adventist School, originally completed in 1889 and designated a New York City landmark in 2011. Submitted design changes are a direct response to comments from the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) following initial presentations in October 2020.

The affordable housing lottery is open for Mother Gaston Hinsdale Homes, 70 residential units for sale across 17 buildings in New Lots and Brownsville, Brooklyn. The two- and three-bedroom residences are being built under NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development‘s Neighborhood Infill Housing Opportunities Program and are only available to first-time owners. Available on NYC Housing Connect are the 70 homes for residents at 90 to 120 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $62,464 to $169,200.

Before construction can begin, the agency must approve up-zoned text amendments to permit the construction of a tall, dense multifamily building.

Renderings from THINK Architecture & Design were recently presented to the Department of City Planning in lengthy proposals to rezone a busy corner of Far Rockaway, Queens. The project comprises two adjacent parcels on Beach 67th and 68th Streets between Thursby Avenue and Beach Channel Drive. “Development Site 1” sits mid-block on Beach 67th Street and comprises six neighboring lots. “Development Site 2” is a through-block lot on Beach 68th Street with additional frontage along Beach 67th Street. Zoning amendments are required to facilitate all construction.
