YIMBY Tours Jeanne Gang’s Topped-Out Skyscraper at 11 Hoyt Street, in Downtown Brooklyn

YIMBY recently went on a tour of Jeanne Gang’s 620-foot-tall, 57-story skyscraper at 11 Hoyt Street, which has topped out in Downtown BrooklynTishman Speyer is the developer of the Studio Gang-designed project that will give a bold and unique focal point to the neighborhood’s rapidly transforming skyline. The wavy, bright glass and precast façade is rising fast and will soon form a curtain wall with a distinctive rippling appearance. Edmund Hollander of Hollander Design is in charge of the landscaping for the outdoor green space above the motor courtyard and podium section. Interiors are being designed by Michaelis Boyd Associates and Hill West is the architect of record.

Construction has officially wrapped for 91 Leonard Street in Tribeca. The 19-story, 210-foot-high residential building is designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and Hill West Architects, and developed by Toll Brothers City Living. Designed to architecturally reflect the iconic characteristic of traditional cast iron warehouses and lofts, the residential building’s dark-colored bronze and glass curtain wall makes it a handsome addition to the neighborhood. Whitehall Interiors is responsible for the building’s interiors.

Work on Sheldon Solow’s 7 West 57th Street Progresses Along Billionaires Row, in Midtown

The site of 7 West 57th Street sits directly adjacent to the SOM-designed Solow Building, aka 9 West 57th Street. Construction on the 19-story reinforced concrete structure has now topped-out, and glass panels on the main southern elevation are nearing completion. The 237-foot-tall tower is being designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Sheldon Solow, the chairman of Solow Realty & Development Group. 7 West 57th Street is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenue along Billionaire’s Row. Upper units will clear the roof heights of the surrounding urbanity, and will obtain north-facing views of Central Park.

David Adjaye-Designed 130 William Street Officially Tops Out Atop The Financial District

YIMBY recently attended the official topping-out ceremony for 130 William Street. The reinforced concrete tower now stands 800 feet above Lower Manhattan’s Financial District, and is set to redefine and add to the architecturally diverse and ever-changing skyline. This is David Adjaye’s first high-rise in New York City. Hill West Architects is the architect of record, while Lightstone Group is the developer of the 66-story project. Prices for the 242 residences begin around $1,300,000 for a one-bedroom, and range to $20,000,000 for a four-bedroom, full-floor penthouse. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales and marketing.
