Following last year’s purchase of 685 Fifth Avenue, developer Michael Shvo has announced a partnership with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to manage a collection of condominiums within the property. Rounding out the development team for the project is Turkish investment group Bilgili Holding and investment management firm Deutsche Finance.
A highly anticipated LPC hearing for the renovation and exterior alteration at the New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building at 476 Fifth Avenue will take place later today. Earlier this month, the Landmarks Committee of Community Board 5 met to discuss proposed changes to the library that would introduce new outdoor areas.
Morris Adjmi Architects will return to the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission to present updated proposals for 430 West Broadway. In a surprise announcement, real estate investment firm RFR is in pursuit of a new anchor tenant to fill 300,000 square feet of Class-A office space at 345 Park Avenue South. The available space amounts to almost the entirety of the property, including a new private rooftop terrace.
Demolition permits have been filed for two buildings at 10-14 West 57th Street and 20 West 57th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Located between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue, the sites are steps away from the 57th Street subway station, serviced by the F train. Anthony Calicchio of Solow Realty & Development Group is listed as the owner behind the applications. Solow Realty has been methodically purchasing parcels on West 57th Street, including 7, 10-14, 16, 20-22; all near their quintessential office property—9 West 57th Street.
