Since 2010, Long Island City, Queens has given rise to nearly 50 new hotels. Permits filed by developer Dun Zhang reveal yet another large-scale project coming to the neighborhood, at 37-10 10th Street.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story hotel at 23-15 39th Avenue, in Long Island City, Queens. The site is seven blocks away from the Queensboro Plaza subway station, serviced by the 7, N, and W trains, a significant transfer station in Queens. Four blocks to the west of that station is the Queens Plaza subway station, serviced by E, M, and R trains. Surjeet Kaur of Sunny Builders NY Corp is responsible for the development.
Construction has been slow-moving this year for the JACX development in Long Island City, Queens. Two 26-story towers are rising at 28-07 Jackson Avenue and 28-10 Queens Plaza South, and the pair will yield new office space marketed toward the technology sector. Images for the site reveal construction has risen as high as the twelfth floor, an increase of eight floors since January. Tishman Speyer and Qatari Diar are responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed for a 13-story hotel at 38-39 9th Street, in Long Island City, Queens. The site is seven blocks away from the 21st Street-Queensbridge subway station, serviced by the F trains and the first stop in Queens. Hotel mogul Sam Chang will be responsible for the development.
Another day, another reveal for new development in Long Island City. Today’s renderings are for 11-12 44th Drive, a residential project. The site is three blocks away from the Court Square-23rd Street Subway Station, serviced by the E and M trains. The waterfront Gantry Plaza State Park is also seven blocks away. Sergey Rybak’s Rybak Development is listed as behind the applications.
