Revealed: 629 Grand Street, Condo Conversion and Expansion in Williamsburg

Two weeks ago, YIMBY revealed this design for an expansion at 555 Grand Street in Williamsburg, and now we have the rendering for another addition down the block, at 629 Grand Street between Leonard Street and Manhattan Avenue. Plans were filed last year to expand the four-story, mixed-use building to five stories and add four apartments to its existing three units.

Brownstoner spotted renderings posted on-site at 59-63 North 6th Street, in Williamsburg, where a single-story, 7,500 square-foot commercial building is planned, and was filed with the DOB last November. The development site is vacant, and excavators are on site, so completion can be expected by 2016 if work begins imminently. Flushing-based Victor K. Han is designing.

A single-story brick building that was once a church has been demolished at 142 Manhattan Avenue in Williamsburg, and this four-story development with dark brick will rise in its place. YIMBY noticed the rendering on the fence at the empty lot, which sits mid-block on Manhattan between Meserole Street and Montrose Avenue.
