Applications were first filed in early 2014 for a six-story, 10-unit mixed-use building at the vacant lot of 369 Berry Street, in western Williamsburg, and now Brownstoner has spotted renderings of the project. The building will total 13,490 square feet, which includes 2,383 and 2,627 square feet of commercial and community space, respectively; apartments will average 850 square feet. M&B Monroe Inc. is developing, while Charles Mallea is the architect of record.
Last month, YIMBY brought you the first renderings for the future Hoxton Hotel, coming to 97 Wythe Avenue, just a few blocks in from the Williamsburg waterfront. Now, we have an update on another nearby hotel project, and significant progress is being made on 55 Wythe Avenue, aka the William Vale Hotel.
Most of Williamsburg’s larger buildings have grown on the Northside, where waterfront parcels were deliberately upzoned. But every once in a while, a developer manages to snag a fairly large parcel like 329 Broadway, on the corner of Rodney Street beneath the elevated J/M/Z tracks.
Back in May, foundation work was underway at 51-59 South 4th Street, on the corner of Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, where six four-story townhouses are planned. Now the concrete structure is three stories tall, according to Brownstoner. The townhouses are being developed by KUB Capital, and five are currently in contract. KUB Design and SZ Projects are co-designing, and completion is expected by the end of this year.
JDS Development Group and Largo Investments picked up a Williamsburg warehouse at 71 North 7th Street for $10,500,000 in March. Yesterday, plans were filed to expand the single-story building to three stories and convert it to condos.
