Demolition Finishes at 620 Twelfth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Demolition has concluded at 620 Twelfth Avenue, the site of a six-story storage and office facility in Hells Kitchen. Owned by Edison Properties and leased to Verizon Communications for $50 million, the structure will span 269,000 square feet and include a cellar level, which may feature on-site parking for the network operator. Nordest Services served as the demolition contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 648 West 48th Street and is bound by West 47th and West 48th Streets and the Hudson River Greenway.

Housing Lottery Launches for 520 West 48th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

The affordable housing lottery has launched for The Clinton, a seven-story residential building at 520 West 48th Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Developed by Hudson Inc., the structure yields 109 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $89,143 to $146,900.

550 Tenth Avenue Tops Out in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

At number 15 on our year-end countdown of the tallest buildings under construction in New York is 550 Tenth Avenue, a 520-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV, the 47-story structure will span 430,000 square feet and yield 453 rental units, with 137 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 9,000 square feet of lower-level retail space, over 20,000 square feet of amenities, and 26,764 square feet of administrative office space for Covenant House. GO Covenant LLC is the owner and Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located along Tenth Avenue between West 40th and 41st Streets.

Permits Filed for 340 West 53rd Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 340 West 53rd Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, the interior lot is two blocks west of the 7th Avenue subway station, serviced by the B, D, and E trains. Shirley Wang is listed as the owner behind the applications.

New Life Science Facility Announced at 707 Eleventh Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

The Georgetown Company and Beacon Capital Partners, in collaboration with ZoE Life Sciences, have announced plans for a seven-story life science facility at 707 Eleventh Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Elkus Manfredi, the 185,000-square-foot structure is located between West 50th and 51st Streets. The new development is supported by the New York City Industrial Development Agency and managed by the New York City Economic Development Corporation, and will feature laboratory, research, and office spaces.

Façade installation is nearing completion on 312 West 43rd Street, a 33-story residential building on the southern border of Hell’s Kitchen in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by National Real Estate Advisors and Taconic Partners, the 401-foot-tall structure will yield 330 rental units, 28,000 square feet of amenities, and two floors of retail space. DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer and Triton Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, directly north of the Port Authority Bus Terminal and its subway station, servicing the A, C, and E trains.

Renderings Revealed for Sunset Pier 94 Studios on Hell’s Kitchen Waterfront, Manhattan

Renderings have been revealed for Sunset Pier 94 Studios, Manhattan’s first film and TV production studio, on the western edge of Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Gensler and developed by Vornado Realty Trust in a public-private partnership with Hudson Pacific Properties, Blackstone, and the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the 266,000-square-foot structure will take shape along the Hudson River waterfront on a parcel long slated for redevelopment. Hudson Pacific Properties will manage leasing and operations and provide design oversight, and RBC and Ivanhoe Cambridge are providing $183 million in construction financing for the project, which is located directly across from DeWitt Clinton Park between West 52nd and West 54th Streets.

Developers Secure $41.5M Financial Package for Condo Building at 360 West 52nd Street in Hell’s Kitchen

JLL Capital Markets has arranged a $41.5 million financial package for a trio of developers to complete a new condominium tower at 360 West 52nd Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. The development team includes Cadence Property Group, HOH Capital Partners, and Deal Lake Capital, who also purchased an adjacent site at 354 West 52nd Street.
