Hudson Hill at 76 Locust Hill Avenue is poised to debut as one of the most sustainably designed affordable housing buildings in Yonkers, New York. As part of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s Building of Excellence Competition, project plans were presented by developer Westhab, Inc. and Amie Gross Architects, which was awarded $1 million to complete the building.
A new world-class, science-focused public high school known as Liberty Science Center High School will soon begin construction within SciTech Scity in Jersey City. Developed under a public-private partnership between the City of Jersey City, County of Hudson, Hudson County Schools of Technology, and Liberty Science Center, the parties will share financial cost alongside philanthropic donors. The school will be built adjacent to the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City and offer science, technology, engineering, and math classes for 400 students in grades 9-12. Students will have access to a work education program with over 200 technology startup companies that will also be a part of SciTech Scity.
Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 31-19 29th Street in Astoria, Queens. Located between 31st Avenue and Broadway, the interior lot is two blocks from the Broadway subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Desmond Neill of Silverline Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Façade work is getting closer to completion on the NoMad Ritz Carlton, a 580-foot-tall hotel skyscraper at 1185 Broadway. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Marriott, Ritz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the 40-story tower will yield 250 guest rooms across 150,000 square feet at the corner of Broadway and West 28th Street.
Construction is nearing completion on Parker West, a 22-story residential building at 214 West 72nd Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by GreenbergFarrow and developed by CBSK Ironstate, a collaboration of SK Development, CB Developers and Brooklyn Standard Properties, the 219-foot-tall structure will yield 18 full-floor homes designed by GRADE in two- to three-bedroom layouts with sales and marketing led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. The project is located between West End Avenue and the confluence of Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.
