New Rendering Revealed for 335 Bond Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn

A new rendering has been revealed for 335 Bond Street, a 14-story residential building under construction in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by Studio V Architecture and developed by E&M Realty, the 155-foot-tall structure is planned to span 77,383 square feet and yield 73 units with an average scope of 932 square feet, as well as 4,644 square feet of manufacturing space, 4,633 square feet of commercial space, and a 30-foot-long rear yard. The residential component will include affordable housing, though the exact number of affordable units has yet to be disclosed. Titanium Construction Services is the general contractor for the project, which is located directly west of the Gowanus Canal by the intersection of Carroll and Bond Streets.

Sales have launched for the Archive Lofts, a boutique condo conversion located at 305 East 61st Street in the Upper East Side‘s Lenox Hill neighborhood. Developed by Forkosh Development Group with Forkosh Design Group responsible for exterior architecture and C3D Architecture as the architect of record, the 35 residences combine loft-like floor plans with prewar details and private outdoor space for the majority of units.

FOUND Study, a provider of affordable student and intern housing, now operates one of largest hotel-to-residential conversion projects in Manhattan history. Located at 525 Lexington Avenue in Turtle Bay, the landmarked building was completed in 1923 and is designed by Empire State Building architect Arthur Loomis Harmon.

Located between Broadway and 34th Avenue, the lot is near the Steinway Street subway station, serviced by the E, F, and R trains. Salvatore D’Amico of PSD 28th Avenue Realty is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Steelwork Begins on Fourth Tier of JPMorgan Chase’s Supertall Headquarters at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction and steelwork has begun on the fourth tier of JPMorgan Chase‘s 1,388-foot supertall headquarters at 270 Park Avenue in Midtown East. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners with Adamsom Associates as the architect of record and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 60-story skyscraper will yield 2.5 million square feet of office space with a capacity of 15,000 employees, and will become the tallest structure in New York completely powered by hydroelectric energy. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the full-block property, which is bound by East 48th Street to the north, East 47th Street to the south, Park Avenue to the east, and Madison Avenue to the west.

Designed by PM Architecture and developed by Acacia Network, the structure yields 57 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 33 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $72,000 to $167,570.

499 President Street Begins Vertical Ascent in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Brodsky Organization and Avery Hall Investments, the 322,000-square-foot structure will yield 350 rental units in studio to two-bedrooms layouts, with 25 percent designated for affordable housing, as well as 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the 1.6-acre property, which is bound by Union Street to the north, President Street to the south, and Nevins Street to the west.

Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Tavros Capital, Charney Companies, and Canyon Partners, the 95-foot-tall structure will span 167,000 square feet and yield 214 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 25 percent designated as affordable housing, as well as 8,900 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Broadway Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by Sackett Street to the north, Union Street to the south, and 3rd Avenue to the east.
