Sanz Management has closed on $52.5 million to complete The Braddock, a 135-unit rental property in North Bergen, New Jersey. The development site is located at 8619 Bergenline Avenue and will also include a 152-vehicle parking garage and 2,400 square feet of retail space.
Permits have been filed for a three-story residential building at 741 East 232nd Street in Wakefield, The Bronx. Located between Barnes Avenue and White Plains Road, the interior lot is one block south of the 233rd Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Jeffrey Cohen of Verdoso Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is nearing completion on FÖRENA, a 12-story residential building at 540 Sixth Avenue in Chelsea. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Landsea Homes and DNA Development, the 80,000-square-foot structure will yield 50 condominium units in one- to three-bedroom layouts with pricing starting at $1.575 million. Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of The Eklund Gomes Team and The Tuinstra-Davis Team at Douglas Elliman are leading sales and marketing for the property, which was built by Ryder Construction at the corner of West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, on the border with Greenwich Village.
Renovation work is complete on 604 Fifth Avenue, a six-story commercial building in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by William Van Alen, architect of the Chrysler Building, the 65-foot-tall structure opened as the Childs Building in 1924 and most recently housed an 18,000-square-foot TGI Fridays. Japanese confectioner Minamoto Kitchoan purchased the property from The Riese Organization for $45 million in April 2021 for its new flagship store. Andrew Pettit Architect was the designer and Cross Management Corp. was the general contractor for the interior and exterior renovation project, which is located between East 48th and 49th Streets.
Jersey City officials have revealed plans to redevelop an aging public housing property into a mixed-use, mixed-income complex in the city’s downtown area. Known as The Holland Gardens Revitalization Plan, the project team includes the Jersey City Housing Authority (JCHA), PS&S Architects, and WinnDevelopment, a Boston-based subsidiary of real estate investment firm Winn Companies.
