J Frankl Associates has revealed renderings of a new 28-story tower in Hamilton Heights, Manhattan. Located at at 620 West 153rd Street, the 28-story building will house a mix of rental apartments, a vast range of amenities, and an unspecified community facility.
Permits have been filed for an 11-story residential building with affordable housing at 39-26 30th Street in Long Island City, Queens. Located between 39th and 40th Avenues, the interior lot is one block west of the 39 Avenue-Dutch Kills subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Hui Shi is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Permits have been filed for a two-story residential conversion into a four-story residential development at 1315 Findlay Avenue in Concourse, The Bronx. Located between East 169th and East 170th Streets, the lot is within walking distance of the 170th Street subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Leo Brody of ZLB is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Curtain wall installation is wrapping up on The Spiral, a 1,041-foot commercial supertall at 66 Hudson Boulevard in Hudson Yards and number nine on our construction countdown. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 66-story structure will yield 2.85 million square feet of office space and is expected to cost nearly $3.7 billion. Turner Construction Company is the general contractor, Banker Steel provided the steel work, and Permasteelisa is serving as the contractor for the reflective floor-to-ceiling glass enclosure for the property, which takes up a full city block between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues and 34th and 35th Streets.
Harlem Academy’s permanent new home is now complete and officially open at 655 St. Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan’s Hamilton Heights neighborhood. The five-story building unifies the school’s operations and classroom facilities, which were previously scattered across three rented, non-contiguous storefronts.
