Two years ago, real estate investment firm Cape Advisors paid $78 million for a collection of warehouses on Charlton and Greenwich Streets, in the recently rezoned swath of western Soho known as Hudson Square. Now they’ve filed applications to erect a 27-story residential building there at 110 Charlton Street.
Now that the 421-a tax exemption is back from the dead, development is cranking into motion again in the outer boroughs. Last week, plans were filed for an eight-story residential project at 567 Ocean Parkway, near the southern edge of Kensington in Brooklyn.

In August, the owners of the Key Food at 801 Washington Avenue in Crown Heights announced plans to shutter the store on the corner of Lincoln Place to make way for a residential building. Now applications have been filed with the Department of Buildings for the nine-story project, which will have a main address at 805 Washington Avenue.
