Curtain Wall Installation Begins on Rolex USA Headquarters at 665 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

Façade installation has begun on 665 Fifth Avenue, the 28-story US headquarters for Rolex in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects and developed by the Rolex Realty Company, the 469-foot-tall structure will yield 199,000 square feet of office and retail space for the world-famous watchmaker. Adamson Associates is the architect of record for the project, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and East 53rd Street.

NYPD Opens New World Trade Center Command Facility At 27 Cliff Street In Financial District, Manhattan

The New York City Police Department has opened a new World Trade Center (WTC) Command facility at 27 Cliff Street in Manhattan’s Financial District, replacing its previous headquarters at 16 Ericsson Place. Overseen by the NYPD’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Bureau, the new facility was established to better support the unit responsible for safeguarding the 16-acre WTC campus. The project was completed in coordination with the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) and various city real estate partners.

Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for Bruckner Heights in Soundview, The Bronx

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Bruckner Heights, a pair of mixed-use buildings at 2070 Chatterton Avenue and 1017 Olmstead Avenue in Soundview, The Bronx. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Azimuth Development Group, the structures yield 330 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 274 units for residents at 30 to 70 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $19,372 to $134,820.

Permits Filed for 221 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

The Village West’s Façade Takes Shape at 525 Sixth Avenue in West Village, Manhattan

Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Izaki Group, the 145-foot-tall structure will span 123,000 square feet and yield 71 condominium units and ground-floor commercial space. The property is alternately addressed as 100-106 West 14th Street and located at the corner of West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, just below the border with Chelsea.

Goodwin To Relocate New York Office To 200 Fifth Avenue In Flatiron, Manhattan

BXP has announced that law firm Goodwin has signed a lease spanning approximately 250,000 square feet at 200 Fifth Avenue in Flatiron, Manhattan. Originally completed in 1909 and once known as the “Toy Center,” the building underwent a renovation in 2008 and achieved LEED Gold Core & Shell certification in 2010. The property is located adjacent to Madison Square Park between West 22nd and 23rd Streets.

Schwarzman Animal Medical Center Completes Phase II Of Renovation At 510 East 62nd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) has completed Phase II of its $125 million, 83,000-square-foot expansion and renovation project at 510 East 62nd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Known as the world’s largest veterinary teaching hospital and New York City’s only Level 1 Veterinary Trauma Center, AMC has officially opened a new nine-story commercial tower featuring a state-of-the-art intensive care unit, medical-surgical unit, avian and exotics unit, and a new education and conference center. The property is located along York Avenue between East 61st and 62nd Streets.
