NYCEDC Commits $18M To Infrastructure Upgrades At Brooklyn Marine Terminal In Red Hook, Brooklyn

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) has signed three infrastructure contracts totaling $18 million to upgrade operations at the Brooklyn Marine Terminal in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The investment marks the initial phase of a broader redevelopment plan for the 122-acre terminal site. The contracts include demolition of four decommissioned cranes, acquisition of a new all-electric ship-to-shore crane, and critical pier repairs at Red Hook Container Terminal’s Pier 10.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for DeKalb Commons, a three-building affordable housing complex at 639 DeKalb Avenue, 652 DeKalb Avenue, and 1187 Fulton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by Magnusson Architecture & Planning and developed in partnership by the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation and St. Nicks Alliance, the two seven-story buildings and one four-story building together yield 85 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 60 units for residents at 30 to 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $22,869 to $154,080.
