The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) has announced the 2025 round of its Alternative Enforcement Program (AEP), targeting 250 buildings across all five boroughs with persistent housing violations. Now in its 18th year, the program aims to address 53,986 open violations citywide and recover nearly $3 million in emergency repair costs.
