Two-Story, 18,500-Square-Foot Medical Facility Coming To 155 Vanderbilt Avenue, Clifton

NYC Health + Hospitals, an agency that operates the city’s public hospitals, has filed applications for a two-story, 18,468-square-foot medical building at 155 Vanderbilt Avenue, located on the corner of Tompkins Avenue in Clifton. That’s a neighborhood along Staten Island’s North Shore. The facility will be geared towards women’s health, according to the Schedule A. Brooklyn-based MJCL Architects is the architect of record. The 16,000-square-foot corner lot is currently occupied by a single-story commercial building. Demolition permits were filed last month.

Seven-Story, 13,800-Square-Foot Mixed-Use Commercial Project Coming To 2916 Shell Road, Coney Island

An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a seven-story, 13,827-square-foot mixed-use commercial building at 2916 Shell Road, on Coney Island. There will be 8,919 square feet of commercial-warehouse space across the ground through fifth floors, followed by 2,350 square feet of medical offices on the sixth and seventh floors. Yevgeniy Rybak’s Brooklyn-based Rybak Architects is the architect of record. The 85-foot-wide, 4,483-square-foot property is currently occupied by a two-story house. Demolition permits were filed in June. The Neptune Avenue stop on the F train is a block away.


30 Pike Street

Request For Proposals Expected Next Year For Senior Housing Facility At 30 Pike Street, Lower East Side

The de Blasio administration is planning to launch a request for proposals (RFP) at some point next year in search of a development team to build a senior housing facility at 30 Pike Street, located between Henry and Madison streets on the Lower East Side. The scope of the building has not been revealed, but it will accommodate at least 100 senior residents and will feature an unspecified medical facility, Curbed NY reported. The site can accommodate up to 244,562 square feet of community facility space, which is what senior housing is categorized under. The 37,625-square-foot site is currently occupied a single-story a water supply building. The Department of Environmental Protection will work with the future development team to incorporate the infrastructure into the new building.

Reveal For Universal Church’s New Five-Story, 79-Foot-Tall House of Worship At 68-03 Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside

A model has surfaced of the planned five-story, 63,341-square-foot church project at 68-03 Roosevelt Avenue, located on the corner of 69th Street in Woodside. The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God is currently seeking a variance from the Board of Standards and Appeals for the project, DNAinfo reported. The proposed structure would stand 79 feet tall and would include a house of worship, classrooms, multipurpose rooms, a recording studio, and 10 rectory units. A 150-car parking garage is also part of the plan. It would replace the congregation’s existing facility. Atlanta-based M3G Design is the architect of record. The 69th Street stop on the 7 train rumbles just above the street.
