The Beach 21st Street project, a 226,000-square-foot mixed-use building, will soon break ground as part of the city’s Downtown Far Rockaway Rezoning and Roadmap for Action. The long-running initiative was conceived by Mayor Bill de Blasio to encourage new retail, housing, and investment opportunities in southeastern Queens.
Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center’s North Campus will soon be replaced by a two-building affordable housing complex in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Known as Kingsbrook Estates, the new development will comprise 266 units and a diverse assortment of community facilities with a focus on health and wellness, employment, and comprehensive care.
The Department of City Planning is expected to weigh in on the construction of a new mixed-use building at 312 Coney Island Avenue in the historic Windsor Terrace section of Brooklyn. Designed by FXCollaborative, the proposed development measures 387,000 gross square feet and includes residential area, a church, a small school, and commercial retail.
Tuchman Associates has submitted proposals to amend existing zoning ordinances for the construction of a new mixed-use property in Corona, Queens. Located at 110-40 Saultell Avenue, the building would contain just over 39,000 square feet and top out at six stories.
Construction has started on Park Haven Apartments, a new mixed-income apartment complex in Mott Haven, The Bronx. Located at the corner of East 142nd Street and St. Ann’s Avenue, the ten-story building includes 178 residential units, a ground-level grocery store, and community facilities.
