The Yonkers Industrial Development Agency (IDA) has released renderings of two forthcoming affordable housing developments—Dayspring Commons and 9-11 Riverdale Avenue—that will comprise a total of 92 rental homes and a small amount of commercial area.
Permits have been filed for a four-story apartment building with a penthouse and fully finished basement at 110 East 53rd Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Winthrop Street and Clarkson Avenue, the interior lot is closest to the Saratoga Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. Sam Eshaghoff’s West Egg Development is behind the applications.
Recent photos from the site of 31 West 57th Street show the property still bereft of construction activity. The perimeter along West 57th Street has been boarded up and plastered with black-and-white geometric art patterns, but not much has happened since the demolition of the original Rizzoli Bookstore and several other old low-rise buildings. 27-33 West 57th Street is among the most sought-after parcels of land along 57th Street, aka Billionaires’ Row, and it could still sprout a fairly tall skyscraper. The lot sits immediately to the west of the Solow Building and is slated to be developed by the LeFrak Organization.
In a recent announcement, New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) revealed a multi-phase affordable housing development in Brooklyn. Known as Broadway Triangle, the wedge-shaped plot of land sits at the intersection of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Bedford-Stuyvesant and will eventually give rise to a five-building housing complex for low-income households and the formerly homeless.

Located between Norman Avenue and Nassau Avenue, the corner lot is five blocks east of the Nassau Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Sheng Zeng under the 74 Diamond LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
