Designed by Richard Bienenfeld Architecture and developed by Seventh Street Development Group, the structure yields 18 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $80,572 to $165,230.

Foundations Underway For Rolex USA Headquarters at 665 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

At number 21 on our annual year-end construction countdown is the Rolex USA headquarters, a 469-foot-tall commercial building at 665 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by David Chipperfield Architects with Adamson Associates as the architect of record and developed by the Rolex Realty Company, the 28-story structure will yield 199,000 square feet of office and retail space for the world-famous watchmaker. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and East 53rd Street.

One Times Square Tops Out in Times Square, Manhattan

Officials and crews recently celebrated the topping out of One Times Square, a 26-story commercial tower at 1475 Broadway in Times Square. Designed by S9 Architecture with SLCE as the architect of record and developed by Jamestown, the $500 million project involves the full gut renovation and exterior re-cladding of the 119-year-old, 395-foot-tall structure, along with the addition of new LED displays and public viewing decks with platforms that will overlook the famous crossroads. R&R Scaffolding Companies will supply the BMU and Turner Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 43rd Street to the north, West 42nd Street to the south, Broadway to the east, and Seventh Avenue to the west.

NYCHA And Partners Secure $635.6 Million For Renovations Across East Brooklyn

The New York City Housing Authority and its partners have reached a significant milestone by closing on a $635.6 million PACT project aimed at renovating 87 buildings in East Brooklyn. This comprehensive initiative will benefit nearly 3,500 residents, providing them with upgraded apartments, public spaces, grounds, and building infrastructure.

Permits have been filed for a 16-story residential building at 180 Christopher Street in West Village, Manhattan. Located between Washington Street and West Street, the lot is near the Christopher Street-Sheridan Square subway station, serviced by the 1 train. Housing Works is listed as the owner behind the applications and current runs the Bailey House at that address, a six-story building used for congregate housing for the homeless and those dealing with HIV.

RAMSA’s Claremont Hall Wraps Up Construction in Morningside Heights, Manhattan

The 22nd-tallest building on our annual year-end countdown is Claremont Hall, a 466-foot-tall mixed-use tower currently completing construction at 100 Claremont Avenue in Morningside Heights, Manhattan. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects along with SLCE Architects and interior designer CetraRuddy Architects, and developed by Lendlease, Daiwa House Texas, and LMXD, the 41-story structure spans 354,000 square feet and yields 165 condominium units in one- to four-bedroom layouts, as well as classrooms, office space, and faculty housing for Union Theological Seminary. The project also involves renovations to the school’s Hastings Hall by Beyer Blinder Belle. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is leading sales and marketing and Lendlease is the general contractor for the property, which is located by the corner of Claremont Avenue and West 122nd Street.

65 4th Avenue Tops Out in Park Slope, Brooklyn

Construction has topped out on 65 4th Avenue, a ten-story residential building in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Designed by MHM Engineering PC and developed by Yisroel Greenfeld, the 100-foot-tall structure will span 25,458 square feet and yield 30 rental units with an average scope of 655 square feet, as well as 781 square feet of commercial space, a cellar level, and a 29-foot-long rear yard. Success Developers LLC is the general contractor for the property, which stands on an interior lot between Bergen Street and St. Mark’s Place.

7 Platt Street’s Foundations Reach Street Level in Manhattan’s Financial District

Designed by Hill West Architects with interiors by Fogarty Finger and developed by The Moinian Group, the 37-story structure will span 267,760 square feet and yield 250 rental apartments with an average scope of 680 square feet, as well as 43,740 square feet of retail space on the first five stories and 34 below-grade parking spaces. Titanium Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 110 John Street and located on an interior lot bound by John Street to the north and Platt Street to the south.
