Two Manhattan West’s Steel Superstructure Takes Shape in Midtown West

The steel superstructure of Two Manhattan West is now well above ground in Midtown West. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Brookfield, the 935-foot-tall skyscraper is located directly to the south of the completed One Manhattan West and will feature a nearly identical design. Two Manhattan West will top off at 58 floors and yield 2 million square feet of newly built office space, costing an estimated total of $2 billion.

Final Exterior Touches Underway for Pendry Manhattan West Hotel in Midtown West

Construction is nearing completion on the Pendry Manhattan West Hotel, a 281-foot-tall hotel at Four Manhattan West in Midtown West. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Brookfield Properties, the 21-story building is just one of five buildings in the Manhattan West master plan, which sits directly across Tenth Avenue from Hudson Yards. The Pendry Manhattan West Hotel will provide a total of 164 guest rooms and a selection of condominiums on the upper levels.

The Spiral at 66 Hudson Boulevard Nearly One-Third of The Way Up in Hudson Yards

Construction on Bjarke Ingels Group‘s 66 Hudson Boulevard, aka The Spiral, is around one-third of its full architectural height. The massive $3.7 billion Hudson Yards supertall is being built directly across the street to the north of Foster + Partners‘ 50 Hudson Yards, which has been rising neck and neck with BIG’s 66-story design throughout most of 2020. Tishman Speyer is the developer, Turner Construction Company is the construction manager, and Banker Steel is in charge of manufacturing the steel for the 1,031-foot-tall skyscraper.
