Eight Residential Units Coming To 6 Brighton Street, Staten Island’s Tottenville

Fas Building Corporation has filed applications for four two-family residential buildings spanning the lots of 6-18 Brighton Street and 7474 Amboy Road, in Tottenville on Staten Island’s south shore. Each building will stand three stories tall, and units will average 1,270 square feet apiece. Stanley Krebushevski’s SMK Architect is designing, and an existing 2.5-story house must first be removed.


1630 East 15th Street

Two-Story Expansion Planned For Commercial Building At 1630 East 15th Street, Midwood

Infinity Real Estate plans to add two floors to the three-story, 160,000 square-foot mixed-use commercial building at 1630 East 15th Street, next to the Kings Highway stop on the B and Q lines in Midwood. According to Commercial Observer, the 60,000 square-foot office expansion is being designed by Zyscovich Architects. The building is currently 100 percent leased, and was acquired by the current owners in 2014.


5-25 47th Street

Four-Story, 14-Unit Residential Building Filed At 5-25 47th Road, Long Island City

Joseph Palumbo’s Rising Developers Group has filed applications for a four-story, 14-unit residential building at 5-25 47th Road, in Long Island City, a couple blocks in either direction from the G and 7 train stops. The building will measure 14,780 square feet, which means the units, possibly condos, will average a spacious 1,055 square feet. Alfredo Fredericks is the applicant of record, and an existing single-story warehouse must first be demolished.


1 West End Avenue

Interior Renderings Revealed Of 41-Story Mixed-Use Tower At 1 West End Avenue, Lincoln Square

In December, YIMBY revealed renderings of Silverstein’s and El-Ad Properties’ 41-story, 365-unit mixed-use building planned for 1 West End Avenue, in Lincoln Square, and now Curbed has renderings of the building’s interior, which is being designed by Jeffrey Beers. Foundation work is currently underway at the site, and completion is slated for 2017. The Pelli Clarke Pelli-designed building will feature an affordable residential portion in its eight-story stone-clad base, and retail space is planned on the ground floor.


Riverside-West End Historic District Gets Another Extension

On Tuesday, hundreds of buildings became protected when the Landmarks Preservation Commission designated the Riverside-West End Historic District Extension II. Basically, every building between West 94th Street and West 108th Street between Riverside Drive and West End Avenue has been added. That’s 344 new buildings, bringing the combined number of protected buildings to 1,255.
