H Hotel W39’s Cantilever Takes Shape at 58 West 39th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction is moving along on H Hotel W39, a 28-story hotel tower at 58 West 39th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Developed by Wei Hong Hu of H Hotel LLC and recently redesigned by Marin Architects, the 447-foot-tall structure will yield 65 hotel rooms spread across 41,500 square feet as well as meeting rooms and a fitness center. City Cross Construction Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a narrow plot between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, just one block below Bryant Park.

145 Perry Street Mansion Nears Completion in West Village, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on 145 Perry Street, a four-story private residence in the West Village. Designed by Leroy Street Studio with Robert Silman Associates Structural Engineers, the 30,000-square-foot structure is alternately addressed as 703-711 Washington Street and replaces a former two-story parking garage. Sciame Construction is the construction manager for the property, which is located at the corner of Perry and Washington Streets.

Developers Land $32M Loan for Affordable Housing Tower at 1440 Amsterdam Avenue in West Harlem, Manhattan

Grid Group and Lekas Realty have closed on a $32 million construction loan to complete a high-rise affordable housing property in West Harlem. Located at 1440 Amsterdam Avenue, the property will top out at 26 stories and yield 393 rental apartments, an Associated supermarket on the ground floor, and an enclosed parking garage. The latter includes roughly 120 rent-restricted units, 25 percent of which will be prioritized for current NYCHA residents.

Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Bsafal, the 125-foot-tall, 55,000-square-foot structure will yield 28 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes of the The Eklund ǀ Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, as well as a community facility and ground-floor retail space. SPACE Copenhagen is the interior designer, Deborah Nevins is the landscape designer, and CNY Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 10th and East 11th Streets. Ancora Enginerring is the SOE and foundations engineer and McNamara Salvia is the structural engineer.

155-165 West 29th Street Tops Out in Chelsea, Manhattan
