With occupancy expected before the end of the year for the ground-up, 30-story rental tower, marketing has launched the development’s website and first batch of listings. 111 Varick is developed by Extended and designed by S9 Architecture. Compass Development Marketing Group is the exclusive leasing and marketing agent for the 100 residences, a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom units. Pricing will begin at $4,000 per month for studio apartments.

Phase One of the 100% Affordable Housing Development Sendero Verde Tops Out in Harlem

The first phase of Sendero Verde, a 100-percent affordable housing development, has topped out in East Harlem. L+M Development Partners, Jonathan Rose Companies, Acacia Network are developing the project which will bring 360 units of affordable housing and one superintendent’s unit spread in phase one across two buildings, the 15-story B-North and the ten-story B-South. It also includes space for a school with a full gymnasium, community facility space for Union Settlement Association, and an 18,000-square-foot public courtyard with a children’s play area, outdoor exercise equipment for adults, seating areas, and a stage for community events. Last week a small gathering that included Yonkers mayor Mike Spano and Westhab president and CEO Rich Nightingale marked the completion of the Dayspring Commons edifice.

An Environmental Assessment Statement for 109 East 42nd Street in Midtown East reveals details for the proposed Project Commodore, a 1,646-foot-tall skyscraper on the site currently occupied by Grand Hyatt New York. Developed under the Commodore Owner LLC by RXR Realty and TF Cornerstone, the mixed-use supertall is designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Components include 2,108,820 square feet of office space, a smaller 500-room Grand Hyatt hotel, approximately 10,000 square feet open-air publicly accessible space, and 43,370 square feet of retail including some controlled by the MTA on the cellar, ground, and second floors.
